Application possibilities:

• Optimal choice: WAVE Therapy Boots work best with WAVE Pad Small, but can also be used with WAVE Pad Medium to provide light therapy to both legs and knees. However, please note that WAVE RLT Pads cannot be bent in two directions at the same time, as this can damage them.

FIR

Wave Therapy Boots are part of the innovative Wave range, designed to improve your horse’s wellbeing with advanced technology.

Features and Usage

• Multifunctional stable gaiters: Equipped with removable inserts that can be replaced as needed.
• Infrared heat (FIR): The included FIR insert reflects your horse’s body heat back into the tissue, improving blood flow and oxygenation, promoting faster recovery and healing.
• Wave-Red Light Therapy Pad: As an option, you can use light therapy for your horse. The battery is easily attached under the large Velcro pad on the gaiter.
• Additional inserts: More functional inserts are on the way and can be purchased separately.

Use of FIR

• Long-term use: FIR can be used for extended periods of time and is ideal for night-time use in the vault or during transportation.
• Benefits: Reduces lactic acid in muscles and supports tendons and tissues.

Important instructions

• Supervision: The horse must always be supervised when using light therapy or magnet therapy.
• Not suitable for riding or transportation: The gaiters should not be used for riding and should not be used for transportation when using light therapy or magnet therapy.
• Compatibility: Best suited for Wave Pad Small, but can also be used with Wave Pad Medium for additional coverage.

Instructions for use

• Getting started: Start using FIR for 3-4 hours daily and gradually increase to 7-8 hours over a week. After a week, the gaiters can be used over 8 hours.
• Reactions: Monitor for leg swelling and reduce usage time if necessary.

Maintenance

• Washing: Machine wash at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. Use a laundry bag and always close the Velcro straps before washing.
• Drying: Do not tumble dry or wash with bleach or fabric softener.
