When WAVE RLT Therapy Boots are NOT used in connection with light therapy treatment on the horse, air gaps of 2-3 cm occur between the pad and the horse's leg, which weakens the treatment results.

Applications:

• Optimal choice: WAVE Therapy Boots work best with WAVE Pad Small, but can also be used with WAVE Pad Medium to provide light therapy to both legs and knees. However, please note that WAVE RLT Pads cannot be bent in two directions at the same time, as this may damage them.

Functions and Use

• Multifunctional stable gaiters: Equipped with removable inserts that can be replaced as needed.
• Infrared heat (FIR): The included FIR insert reflects your horse's body heat back into the tissue, improving blood flow and oxygenation, promoting faster recovery and healing.
• Wave-Red Light Therapy Pad: As an optional extra, you can use light therapy for your horse. The battery is easily attached under the large Velcro pad on the gaiter.
• Additional inserts: More functional inserts are on the way and can be purchased separately.

Use of FIR

• Long-term use: FIR can be used over a long period of time and is ideal for night use in the crate or during transport.
• Benefits: Reduces lactic acid in the muscles and supports tendons and tissues.

Important Instructions

• Supervision: The horse must always be supervised when using light therapy or magnetic therapy.
• Not suitable for riding or transport: The gaiters must not be used for riding and should not be used for transport when using light therapy or magnetic therapy.
• Compatibility: Best suited for Wave Pad Small, but can also be used with Wave Pad Medium for additional coverage.

User manual

• Running-in: Start by using FIR for 3-4 hours daily and gradually increase to 7-8 hours over a week. After a week, the gaiters can be used for 8 hours.
• Reactions: Watch for swollen legs and reduce usage time if necessary.

Maintenance

• Washing: Machine wash at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. Use a laundry bag and always close the Velcro straps before washing.
• Drying: Do not tumble dry and do not wash with bleach or fabric softener.

Contents and Sizes

• Set of two gaiters: Contains a right and a left gaiter that can be used on both the front and rear legs.
• Important: Wave-Pad is not included, although it may be shown in pictures.

If your WAVE product is accidentally damaged – for example, if the horse steps on it or tears it to pieces – we offer low-cost repairsso you can get back on the road quickly.

The service is valid for up to 5 years from the date of purchase – and includes all WAVE products, including those purchased before this service was launched. You just need to be able to show your receipt.
