Terms and conditions – Stand rental
Here you can also familiarize yourself with our general rules for a positive experience for parties. Adhering to these rules promotes good flea karma and ensures that Cavaleros Preloved remains the joyful experience it is for all parties involved.
You accept our current terms and conditions when you have booked a stand and set up your goods. Our terms and conditions are also posted in the store – so everyone can read them.
Booking
You can rent a stand either directly in our store or via our website, www.cavaleros.dk under “Preloved”.
Renting a stand
When we refer to a “General Condition” it refers to a specific area defined by Cavaleros Preloved.
A standard stand has the following dimensions: Height: 212 cm. Width: 120 cm. Depth: 42 cm.
A Single stand has the dimensions Height: 212 cm. Width: 60 cm. Depth 42 cm. (limited number)
With our larger stands, we offer over 63% more space than typical stands on the market with the same concept. This allows our customers to optimally display and organize their riding equipment.
When you rent a stand, you have the opportunity to set up your goods on your first day of rental during our opening hours. You can find the relevant times stated on the front page of your rental contract.
The rental fee is paid in advance when booking either in the store or at www.cavaleros.dk. The prices are stated in the current price list at that time. In addition, 17% of the revenue you generate is settled.
Right of withdrawal when purchasing from Cavaleros Preloved store
When you book a stand at Cavaleros Preloved, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must appear at the store within 14 days of your booking or extension. Please note that if your rental period starts within 14 days of the booking or extension, you agree to waive your right of withdrawal. Regardless of when the booking is made, you cannot cancel if there are less than 14 days until the start of the rental period or extension.
All items sold on commission cannot be returned. Purchases of items in the store are made on an “as seen” basis, which means that there is no right of return, as stated on the receipt. Saddles or other items are not lent out.
No returns on used items that have left the store.
Price
The prices listed on Cavaleros.dk under Preloved include VAT.
Commission
The 17% commission is automatically deducted from the total sale before the profit is paid to the stand renter.
Sales of new products
If you are considering selling new items in the store, please contact us before booking, as all new items must be approved by the store first.
Please note that selling items from Temu, Shein, Wish or similar sites is not permitted. Cavaleros Preloved has a zero-tolerance policy towards the sale of stolen goods. If there is reasonable suspicion of the sale of counterfeit goods at a stand, we reserve the right to immediately remove the items in question without prior notice. In such cases, the stand renter will lose the entire paid rental period.
Furthermore, Cavaleros Preloved may find itself forced to report the matter to the relevant authorities.
During the rental period
Startup
You can set up your stand on the day your rental starts.
Setup can be done at the following times:

- Monday to Friday : 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM (store closes at 5:00 PM)

- Wednesday : 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM (store closes at 7:00 PM)

- Saturday : 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM (store closes at 3:00 PM)
In consideration of the staff, setup must begin no later than one and a half hours before closing time. If you do not have time to finish, you are of course welcome to continue setup the following day.
If you have not set up your goods within the first day of the rental period without prior agreement, Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to rent the stand to someone else without notice. If the stand is NOT rented, stand rent will be charged to the original tenant. If the stand is rented - paid for the days the stand is empty.
The stands may not be moved, and it is not permitted to attach or stick anything to them. It is also prohibited to place items outside your own stand; such items will be removed without prior notice, except for gins rented from Cavaleros Preloved.
As a stand tenant, you are free to use our dry cleaning hangers, and there are a limited number of trouser hangers available. Staff have the right to remove items from the top shelf if they pose a risk of falling or are too heavy.
You must ensure that all items are correctly labelled with the Cavaleros Preloved barcode and have a clear price and an accurate description. General descriptions such as “Riding Breeches”, “Boots”, “Saddle” or “Riding Clothing” are not considered sufficient. The description of clothing and equine products must therefore contain four elements: brand, colour, item type and size; for example “Cavaleros Riding Breeches – Acanto – Navy – Size 38”, in order for the price tag to be approved. Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right not to print incorrect price tags or sell items without a correct description.
Dirty goods may not be sold, the items sold at the stand must be washed, clean and hair must be removed from horse equipment.
Cavaleros Preloved may at any time, without prior notice, remove items that are not suitable for sale at the stand, either because they are damaged, in very poor condition, full of hair or dirty. These items will be set aside and will be returned at the end of the rental.
At the stand
Goods must only be placed on the assigned stand and may not be set up in the aisles or other areas without prior agreement. We provide free hangers for your convenience. When renting a gine, it can be placed in front of its stand.
You are NOT allowed to collect items from your stand during the rental period – they can only be collected at the end of the rental period, or they can be purchased free of charge. This ALSO applies to saddles!
In keeping with the spirit of the flea market, we only allow the sale of used items in the store.
However, we allow smaller businesses, such as creative stands and the like, to rent by agreement and only with long-term rentals of more than 3 months.
Individuals are allowed to sell new items in small quantities, such as mistaken purchases or unused gifts, but bulk items are not allowed. If in doubt, please contact the store.
ONLY horse-related products may be sold, i.e. items that you can typically buy in an equestrian equipment store. Horse trailers, feed, supplement products and stable equipment and other heavy products cannot be sold at stands. The following items may not be sold: Groceries, food, illegally copied
products, consignments, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, hazardous materials or pornographic material. We reserve the right to remove items from the stands.
Items without price tags or forgotten items will be placed on a “Lost & Found” stand in the store for 14 days, after which they will be returned to Cavaleros-PRELOVED.
Only price tags provided by Cavaleros Preloved are permitted. Other price tags are not accepted. The price tags must be filled in with a detailed description and price. When changing the price of an item, a new price tag must be attached. The cash register does not accept crossed out or rewritten price tags. Advertising, such as business cards and brochures, may not be placed on the stand and will be removed and destroyed.
Direct transactions between customers are not permitted. All transactions MUST be made through the cash register. Violation of this rule may result in expulsion.
Sale at the stand
If you wish to hold a sale at your stand, please inform the staff.
You can choose a discount between 10% and 70%, but only in increments of 5% (e.g. 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, etc. – not 33%).
When you notify us, the staff will update our IT system and provide a sale sign, which must be placed visibly at your stand.
Please note that the discount cannot be removed again during your rental period, but you are always welcome to increase the discount along the way if you want to boost sales.
Order and replenishment
You are basically responsible for your stand. You also have the option to purchase a service where we clean up your stand.
Goods without price tag
If an item loses its price tag or is found in the store after the rental period has expired, it will be placed in the Lost & Found section. It is therefore important to keep an eye on items on the shelf, even after your rental period, as many items are often discovered when other stand tenants pack up.
Items without price tags will be stored in this area for a minimum of 14 days, after which they will be handed over to Cavaleros Preloved, who may choose to donate, dispose of or sell them. If you find an item in Lost & Found that you believe belongs to you, please remember to get confirmation from staff before leaving the store or putting a new price tag on it.
Changing prices of goods
The prices of your items can be changed during the rental period. If you want to change a price, the item must first be purchased free – that is, you pay the current selling price minus a 17% commission. Once the item has been purchased free, you can create it again with a new price.
Responsibility
Cleaning up your stand
As a stand renter, you are responsible for keeping your stand neat and tidy throughout the rental period.
If the stand is deemed to be grossly neglected, Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to clean up without prior warning or notice to the tenant. In such cases, a cleaning fee of DKK 50 will be charged, which will automatically be deducted from the sales from the stand.
Cavaleros Preloved independently assesses when there is grossly neglected cleaning – for example, in the event of mess, dirty goods, inappropriate setup or lack of maintenance. Photo documentation is sent via SMS as proof of the cleaning.
If you do not want to be responsible for the cleanup yourself, you can purchase our daily cleanup service, where we continuously ensure that your stand appears inviting.
Product insurance
Cavaleros Preloved cannot be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to items while they are for sale, including damage caused by other customers. We do our utmost to minimize the risk by securing the store with attentive staff, alarm systems and video surveillance.
In the event of fire, burglary or water damage, Cavaleros Preloved cannot be held liable. However, such damage may be covered by your own home insurance - we recommend that you contact your insurance company for further information.
Seller agrees that Cavaleros Preloved cannot be held liable for damage to items listed for sale on Cavaleros Preloved that occurs during customer testing in the store. Any damage that may occur during testing is the seller's sole responsibility. Any damage should be covered through the seller's own insurance.
All items must be equipped with alarms, and the prices are stated in the current price list. When renting a stand, 30 free alarms are included; subsequent alarms cost DKK 5 per item. Please note that alarms may not be removed from the store. Our premises are monitored by video, and our staff is particularly attentive to preventing shoplifting. Cavaleros Preloved does not assume responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items and is not liable for compensation in the event of fire, theft or water damage.
Misplaced items
If an item cannot be immediately found at your stand, in the vast majority of cases it is because a customer has mistakenly placed the item at another stand – not because the item has been stolen.
Cavaleros Preloved cannot be held responsible for misplaced items, and we cannot take the time to walk through the store to locate them. Our staff will constantly monitor the store and move items back when we discover misplaced items, but it is the stand renter's own responsibility to keep their stand in order and check it regularly.
Payment of receivables
You must request a payout yourself in your “My Cavaleros Preloved” login. We make transfers every 14 days – on the 3rd and 13th of each month.
It is important that you request a payout before these dates, otherwise your payout will not be included until the next transfer. You can request a payout every time you have sold items.
Once you request a withdrawal, you can no longer use the money you have left for in-store purchases.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the account number is correct. If you wish to use your earnings to purchase items on Preloved, simply indicate this at checkout when paying.
Expiration of rental period
The rental period does NOT continue automatically. If you wish to continue the rental period, we cannot guarantee the same stand. If you want to secure the same stand, it is important that you book or reserve the period already when the agreement is concluded. All reservations must be paid for at least 7 days before the start, otherwise the stand may be rented out to another party.
When the rental period expires and you empty your booth, an employee will check the items you take home and therefore price tags may not be removed from the items. You may be asked for picture ID or rental agreement/Internet confirmation.
End of rental period / Dismantling of stand
Your stand must be emptied and taken down on the last day of your rental period.
When you arrive to take down your stand, you must contact the staff immediately. This must be done no later than one and a half hours before closing time on weekdays and no later than two hours before closing time on weekends, so that the staff has time to check the stand.
Dismantling of alarms and checking of goods is carried out by staff and must be done no later than one hour before closing time. Therefore, the stand cannot be closed later than this time.
You must therefore arrive and start your dismantling no later than the following times:

- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: latest at 3:30 PM (store closes at 5:00 PM)

- Wednesday: latest by 5:00 PM (store closes at 7:00 PM)

- Saturday: latest by 1:00 PM (store closes at 3:00 PM)
Failure to take down the stand
It is the stand renter's own responsibility to empty and close the stand on time on the last day of rental.
If the stand is not emptied at the end of the rental period, Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to empty the stand and charge a fee of DKK 300 for dismantling, packing and handling. The goods are packed in cardboard boxes and stored without security for 7 days from the end of the rental period.
If the goods are not collected within 7 days, they will become the property of Cavaleros Preloved, which may sell, donate or destroy the goods without further notice or compensation. Any additional costs for disposal will be paid by the stand renter.
Property law
The seller guarantees to have unrestricted ownership and the right to dispose of and sell the goods. The stand renter guarantees for any claims against Cavaleros Preloved.
Security, confidentiality and personal data policy
In order to enter into an agreement with us, we need certain information, including name, address, telephone number, email and account number. We register and process your personal data for the purpose of providing our services to you as a stand tenant.
Personal information is registered with Cavaleros Preloved and stored for five years, after which it is deleted. We keep your information strictly confidential and encourage you as a stand renter to treat login information and passwords with the same confidentiality.

If a tenant infringes a third party's copyrights, trademarks or similar, Cavaleros Preloved is entitled to disclose relevant personal information to the infringed party. We also cooperate with the police, SKAT and other authorities in connection with any investigation.
Other conditions
Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to evict customers without prior notice. In the event of a breach of rental or commercial terms, prepaid stand rent will not be refunded.
Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to change opening hours, closing days and store layout without notice. We also reserve the right to make changes and addenda to these terms.
We reserve the right to cancel a stand if the customer has provided incorrect information or has breached the agreement. Commercial stands may not be set up unless this has been agreed in advance. It is not permitted to set up a stand as a “private” for commercial purposes. In the event of breach, the stand may be dismantled at the customer’s expense.
Closing days
Cavaleros Preloved reserves the right to close up to four times a year – for a total of up to seven days. This typically occurs at the beginning of March, the end of May, the beginning of September and during October.
As compensation, stand rental will not be charged for these seven days, and three additional days of free stand rental will also be offered.
