Alano 2.0 has a very special meaning for Cavaleros.
The story begins with Acanto Silver – the very first riding breeches we developed at Cavaleros.
It was the model that really helped open the market for us and kick-start the development that Cavaleros has since built on.
Acanto Silver also showed how much durability matters in a pair of breeches. We still meet riders who are riding in their Acanto Silver more than 9 years after they bought them.
Alano is the modern development of the original idea.
With Alano 2.0, we have further developed the model with a more ergonomic fit and improved lumbar support, while continuing to focus on comfort, freedom of movement and a pair of breeches designed for many hours of use.
For us, Alano is not just another pair of breeches in the range. It represents an important part of Cavaleros' history, from our first breeches to the present day.
Important: Alano 2.0 runs small – choose one size larger than you normally wear.
When support, comfort and freedom of movement must work together
Alano 2.0 combines the classic riding breeches construction with a soft and highly elastic bamboo material, ergonomic lumbar support and full grip.
The material follows the body during riding and movement, while the waist construction provides a more stable and supportive feel around the lower back.
It is precisely the combination of fit, support, stretch and functionthat has made the Alano concept something special in Cavaleros' range.
The fit – improved ergonomic lumbar support
One of the most important updates in Alano 2.0 is the improved support around the lower back and waist.
The waist is ergonomically designed and higher at the back than at the front, so the construction follows the body more naturally.
It provides a supportive and stable feeling around the lower back and helps the pants stay in place while riding.
At the same time, the material is very elastic, so the support does not affect freedom of movement.
The material – soft, elastic and designed for many hours of use
Alano 2.0 is made of a soft and highly elastic bamboo-based material.
The material molds to the body and provides high freedom of movement, so the pants do not feel stiff while riding or working around the horse.
The material is also breathable, quick-drying and dirt-repellent, making the model practical throughout much of the year.
On very cold days, Alano 2.0 can be combined with a thin baselayer.
Fullgrip – support without locking the rider in place
Alano 2.0 has full grip, developed to provide good contact with the saddle without feeling unnecessarily strong.
The grip should contribute to stability, but at the same time allow the rider to move naturally in the saddle.
It is the balance between grip, stretch and fit that is important for the overall feel.
Fewer seams – more comfort around the leg
The construction is developed with a focus on reducing unnecessary seams around areas where they can be annoying.
Among other things, work has been done to reduce seams around the knees and ankles.
The construction at the bottom of the leg is made so that the pants fit snugly and comfortably under the riding boot.
Deep mobile phone pockets
Alano 2.0 has deep and elastic mobile phone pockets with space for a larger smartphone.
The pockets are integrated into the design, so they provide practical function without destroying the classic riding breeches look.
From Acanto Silver to more than nine years of use
Alano 2.0 builds on the functional approach that began with Acanto Silver:

Size and fit
Alano 2.0 is small in size.
We therefore recommend that you choose one size larger than you normally wear.
The material has a lot of stretch, but the basic fit of the model is still small.
If you are between two sizes, we recommend the larger one.
