From Acanto Silver to Alano Silver
Alano Silver has a very special place in Cavaleros' history.
The story began with Acanto Silver – the very first riding breeches we developed at Cavaleros.
It was the model that helped open the market for us and kick-start the development that Cavaleros has since built on.
Acanto Silver also showed how important durability is in riding breeches. We still meet riders who are riding in their original Acanto Silver more than 9 years after they bought them.
The model was later continued and renamed Alano Silver.
The basic idea and fit were retained, while the design was made more subdued with smaller and more discreet logos.
Alano Silver is therefore not only inspired by Acanto Silver – the model is the direct continuation of Cavaleros' very first riding breeches.
Important: Alano Silver runs small. We recommend that you choose one size larger than you normally wear.
When comfort, support and freedom of movement must come together as one whole
Alano Silver is developed for the rider who wants classic riding breeches with high comfort and great flexibility.
The model combines ergonomic lumbar support, soft bamboo material, full grip and great elasticity.
This results in riding breeches that fit snugly to the body, but still follow your movements in the saddle and throughout an active day in the stable.
It is precisely the interaction between fit, support, material and grip that has made the Alano concept something special over the years.
The fit – ergonomic support around the lower back and waist
One of the Alano Silver's most important features is the ergonomic waist construction.
The waist is designed with higher support at the back and a lower construction at the front, so the pants follow the body more naturally.
It provides a supportive feeling around the lower back and waist, while the elastic material follows the body's movements.
The fit is tight, but the material's great stretch means that the pants still provide high freedom of movement.

The material – soft, elastic and bamboo-based
Alano Silver is made of a soft and very elastic bamboo-based material.
The material conforms to the body and provides great freedom of movement during riding and stable work.
It is also breathable and quick-drying, which makes the model usable throughout much of the year.
On very cold days, the pants can be combined with a thin base layer.
Dirt-repellent surface
The surface of the material is dirt-repellent.
This means that lighter dirt does not settle into the fabric as quickly, and minor dirt can in many cases be wiped off more easily.
This is a practical feature in a rider's everyday life, where the pants are often used both on the horse and in the stable.
The Grip – stability without locking the rider
Alano Silver has a full grip that is designed to provide good contact with the saddle.
The grip is not intended as an extremely strong grip, but as a support that contributes to stability without unnecessarily restricting the rider.
It is the balance between grip, stretch and fitthat is important for the overall feel in the saddle.
Fewer seams – more comfort around the knee
Alano Silver is developed with a focus on minimizing unnecessary stitching.
Among other things, there is no annoying stitching at the front of the knee, which provides a quieter construction around an area that is constantly bending and working during riding.
The construction is also kept flexible at the ankle, so the pants fit snugly and comfortably under the riding boots.
Deep and elastic mobile phone pockets
The model has deep and elastic pockets with space for a larger smartphone.
The pockets are integrated into the design, so they provide practical function without dominating the classic riding breeches look.
From large logos to a more subdued Alano look
When Acanto Silver was continued as Alano Silver, the design was updated with smaller and more discreet logos.
This gave the model a calmer and more classic look, while maintaining the familiar fit and functionality.
It is a good example of how the model was further developed without losing the connection to the original Acanto Silver.
A model with a special durability history
Alano Silver builds on a construction that has proven its strength through many years of use.
We still meet riders who ride their original Acanto Silver more than nine years after purchase.
It is not a guarantee of the longevity of all pants, but it is an important part of our practical experience with the model and its predecessor.
