Lucerne Chopped is hot air dried, chopped alfalfa. Used as a supplement to hay, wrap and/or grass - and can be given together with straw as the only roughage. Rich in high quality fiber and protein, as well as a balanced composition of other important nutrients. The high fiber content promotes healthy colon function and supports digestion.

Always give roughage before complete food, and divide the complete food into several feedings per day.
Feeding instructions
The recommended feeding schedule for a full-grown horse is approximately 0.1–0.8 kg Lucerne Chopped per 100 kg horse. Make sure that the horse gets enough other roughage in addition to Lucerne Chopped (at least 1.5 kg dry matter roughage per 100 kg horse).
The daily dosage should be based on the nutritional value of the roughage, as well as the horse's work level, whether it is growing or whether it is pregnant/lactating.
