NEW – Upgraded LED technology with dual 850 nm
WAVE RLT G2 has now been upgraded with a new LED structure, where near-infrared light has been given special priority.
Each LED unit combines:
- 1 × 660 nm chip with red light.
- 2 × 850 nm chips with near-infrared light.
This means that each LED unit contains three light chips divided into two different wavelengths.
With two 850 nm chips for every 660 nm chip, special emphasis has been placed on the near-infrared light in the LED design itself.
For those of you investing in light therapy for your dog, it is worth knowing the difference between the number of wavelengths and the way the light chips are actually composed.
Two products can use the same wavelengths, but have different LED construction, light distribution and power management.
The upgraded G2 design is therefore an important technical feature. However, the number of chips does not in itself prove double the brightness or greater processing power.
The classic WAVE G2 combination – now with upgraded LED construction
WAVE G2 continues to be based on two carefully selected wavelengths:
- 660 nm red light – visible red light.
- 850 nm near-infrared light – light outside the visible spectrum.
The two wavelengths have different optical properties and are combined in the WAVE G2's light configuration.

The larger pad is, for example, practical for use on the back, lower back, shoulders and larger muscle areas when the placement suits the dog's anatomy.
But Medium is definitely not just for large dogs.
A smaller dog can also benefit from the larger light surface because the toad can cover a larger part of the body at once.
For example, on a small dog, the Medium format can cover almost the entire body, depending on the dog's size and placement.
It is therefore not the dog's size alone that should determine your choice of WAVE pad.
The most important thing is how large an area you want to cover and how the toad best fits into your dog's everyday life.
Light therapy in the dog basket – a simple and natural application
One of the practical options with WAVE is to place the light pad directly in the dog's basket.
When the toad is lying completely flat and stretched out with the light surface facing up, the dog can lie down on top of it while you sit next to it and keep an eye on it.

With the Medium format, the same pad can provide different coverage options:
- For a smaller dog: The larger light surface can cover a significant portion of the body or almost the entire dog, depending on size and placement.

The size of the dog does not necessarily limit the choice of pad. It is the coverage area that makes the difference.
Important when the dog is lying on the floor
The toad must lie completely flat and extended on a stable surface. It must not be folded, bent or loaded in a way that puts undue pressure on the structure.
The dog must always be dry and under constant supervision.
Some dogs have a habit of digging or scratching in their basket before they lie down. The dog's claws can damage both the light pad and the transparent protective surface over the LEDs.
Therefore, the dog must not dig, scratch, chew or bite the equipment. Discontinue use if it starts to do so.
WAVE should never be left switched on with a dog unattended.
Power density – more than just a number on paper
When investing in light therapy, power density is one of the technical details worth investigating.
Power density is measured in mW/cm² and describes how much light power is delivered per unit area under the specified measurement conditions.
It is not the same as the total electrical power of the product.
